XCM Eye Candy Replacement Shell Kit for Nintendo DSi

Those that enjoy seeing the inside of their gadgets are going to love this new kit for the Nintendo DSi. It coats your DSi in a bright candy color and keeps things nice and clear. It’s far more interesting than just slapping a skin on the outside and a little easier than attempting to create a clear case that will show the insides of it all on your own.

The kit comes in various colors, those being candy apple red, emerald green, electric blue, a completely clear shell and then a non-clear matte black and then a white one. Not only is there a shell included, but color coordinated buttons to complete the transformation. They also include the tools you’ll need to make the case your own and keep it customized to your tastes. As far as putting the shell on all you’ll need is a screwdriver. The shell will cost you $25.99

European BlackBerry App World Confirmed for this Month

RIM VP Jeff McDowell (hey, we know that guy) has confirmed in a recent interview that France, Germany, Italy, and Spain will indeed be getting the BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM App World this month as previous speculated, while Brazil and India are next on the list. He also unabashedly tallied the number of apps at 2,000, up from 1,000 at launch. Too little compared to the ridonkulous iPhone selection? Not so, says McDowell: “I don’t think it matters whether it’s 40,000 or 2,000, you’ve still got a broad range of choice.” It’s true that for the end user, it gets to a point where there’s no difference, but it certainly acts as a barometer of developer interest and momentum for the channel as a whole. I wonder how much the recently-launched MoniHand mobile app store is doing in comparison… In any case, the last date we heard for the European App World was June 20th., about two weeks away.

Samsung Jet UK TV Ad - a bit full-on!

Shellshocked. That was how my little brain was after watching the UK TV Advert for the Samsung Jet, which debuted on Friday night, 3rd July….

It was directed by the guy who did the popular UK teen series Skins, and I have to say I think it shows - the strapline for the Ad is ‘impatience is a virtue’, and whereas the first half of the Ad is very relaxed, the second half is rather full-on!

Sprint confirms July 12 release date for the BlackBerry Tour 9630

Sprint has recently taken to Twitter and confirmed the upcoming release date and the pricing for the BlackBerry Tour 9630 and it looks like they are staying head to head with Verizon on this release.

The Sprint-branded BlackBerry Tour will be available beginning on July 12 and retailing for $199. Availability will be either online or through telesales, however it looks like that $199 price tag will involve both an instant as well as a mail-in rebate. Otherwise, in order to get that pricing, you will also need to accept the standard two year agreement.

As of now, Sprint has not yet updated the website for the Tour, which is still reflecting the same “be the first to know” style page.

Palm Pre Running PlayStation1 Emulation, Better than iPhone 3GS Says Developer

For those Palm Pre users who got plenty of PlayStation1 games in their store room, psz4all team from ZodTTD is bringing a PlayStation1 emulator for Palm Pre soon. With a demonstration of Wipeout XL running on Palm Pre, the game is running in portrait mode. Landscape mode is also in progress but even if the emulator are able to run in landscape mode, how could we handle the game buttons with the sliding keyboard?

According to the developer, the emulation with Palm Pre is actually better than iPhone 3GS!
